Chair Socks are a fun and unique way to protect your hardwood floor from the wear and tear of moving chairs around. See what creator Leanne (Adventuregurl) had to say on Ravelry:
“The real inspiration behind the Flashdance Chair socks was the cheap, stick-on felt floor protector circles I kept buying from the Dollar Store, that always peeled off after a month or so. The answer to all my problems is usually knitting, and this case was no different. I set out to whip up some ‘socks’ for my chairs, only they didn’t end up being short, like the crocheted floor protectors your Grandma had. They were more like knee-highs or leg warmers! As a true child of the 80’s, when I think leg warmers, I think “Flashdance”. No one rocked the leg warmers like Jennifer Beals…‘She’s a maniac, maniac on the floor.”

Chair socks are an excellent idea. I’m constantly losing my felt stick-ums. And these might even be washable.
