With Presidential Election season on the horizon these “HOP” pieces have started to pop up around Philadelphia, PA. They are a play on Barack Obama’s “HOPE” posters designed by Shepard Fairey. The “HOP” campaign promises to rally the country behind a very important cause – - beer, beer & more beer.
It is appropriate for these pieces to be popping up in Philadelphia because it is a city that has a deep-rooted beer and brewery history that many people are not aware of. This rich history will be shown through a documentary set to be released in July 2012 entitled, “Beeradelphia: The City of Brewery Love“. Directed by Michael Ryan Lawrence, “Beeradelphia” will give a glimpse into the culture, history and emergence of Philadelphia as America’s best beer drinking city.
The film just had its international & world premiere at the 2012 Monaco Charity Film Festival and the crew has returned home in preparations for a series of premieres across the Delaware Valley this summer.
