A huge honor is about to come to renowned artist KAWS in the form of a float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade held in New York City this Thanksgiving. The street artist turned contemporary artist has designed the float seen above and it will be a big one – -40 feet long, 34 feet wide and 30 feet tall to be exact. KAWS’ design features his Companion figure covering his face with its signature gloves. The positioning was aimed to create the feeling of being ashamed or embarrassed; a pose inspired by Rodin’s famous sculpture, The Thinker. The parade can be seen live on NBC on 11/22/12 starting at 9AM EST.
