New Escif Mural In Gaeta, Italy

(Artist, Escif. Photo and rights via)

Frequently featured Spanish street artist, Escif, took to the streets of Gaeta, Italy for his latest work. He has named this piece, “Angolo Di Riflessione” which translates to, “Angle Of Reflection.”  The artwork is based on the unfortunate events that unfolded on the Italian cruise ship, Costa Concordia, in January 2012. The controversial story involves a negligent captain that steered the ship into a reef near Tuscany, Italy.  The reef lead the ship to sink on the night of January 13th, 2012 while forcing the 4,254 people on board to evacuate and also costing some people their lives in the process. Escif is in Italy for the Memorie Urbane Street Art event.
